Position: Senior Project Manager

General Job Summary

As a member of the Project Management Team, the Sr. Project Manager is responsible for using their communication, planning and organizational skills to proactively manage daily development activities, using internal and external resources to bring online strategy, website development, and media creative projects to completion on time, on budget and with a pre-approved margin. This position requires expertise at driving projects through the entire project life cycle, from inception to launch, while creating realistic schedules, proactively communicate with Account Management to set client expectations, identifying and managing risks, as well as juggling multiple priorities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive and navigate projects to completion, primarily larger projects of a complex and integrated nature.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, facilitating local and remote project teams and external resources.
  • Establish and manage realistic and committed project schedules; taking into consideration deadlines, dependencies, resources, and costs when making changes and decisions to schedule.
  • Ability to build complex scope documents for web design projects.
  • Proactively identify risks, and escalate issues to Management related to project development and schedule.
  • Ensure account/project profitability.

Other Responsibilities

  • Create and manage daily project plans (schedules). Track project milestones daily/weekly/monthly identifying overages and other issues to the project team.
  • Work with Resource Manager to assign project resources (internal and external) Ð Includes assigning resources (i.e. Administrative, Creative) to be available for projects that require evening/weekend/rush scheduling.
  • Facilitate and manage project teams for Business Development and internal projects.
  • Identify scope changes in projects and work to recover cost from clients.
  • Assist Account Manager in developing Scope and Scope Change documents.
  • Assist Account Management team by creating project estimates by producing detailed, internally facing, breakdown of cost by function and/or team member.
  • Ability to work with clients in-person.
  • Manage and update the Cost/Benefit Analysis report for all projects.
  • Ensure that time tracking for all projects is completed by project team on a daily basis.
  • Schedule all necessary project team meetings.
  • Maintain Issues Log for all projects.
  • Responsible for initiating Project Audit Report from the project team upon completion of project.
  • Facilitate and drive all project team meetings, and project status meetings, as well as prepare project status information for Project Management meetings.
  • Manage client assets and purchase of graphic images, photography, used in client projects.
  • Drive functional expertise (i.e. Best Practices for Project Management department).
  • Manage outsourcing of production/processing tasks that Real Branding does not cover internally (i.e. digitizing video, etcÉ).

Education, Experience and Requirements

  • Required: 4 year college degree
  • 5 + years Interactive Agency experience
  • Extensive experience in managing web development and on-line media projects
  • Extensive experience with critical path methodologies and problem solving
  • Extensive experience in project scheduling and planning
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • PMI Credentials
