
Mark Silva founded Real Branding in 1994 to pioneer the emerging field of digital communications for brands. He serves as senior consultant and agency sponsor for many of Real Branding’s long-term clients as well as emerging interests. Silva brings over 20 years of traditional and online advertising experience directing strategic planning, account and creative teams with his passionate, visionary approach to integrated communications.
At Real Branding, Silva has led online brand strategy for blue-chip companies including AOL, Coca-Cola, Corona, Diageo, HBO, Scottish & Newcastle, Unilever and Warner Bros. Before founding the agency, Silva drove strategic planning, creative direction and new business development at high-tech and recruitment advertising agencies including FCB, TarGet, and Omnicom/Bernard Hodes. He was instrumental in launching CareerMosaic, one of the first 100 commercial websites. Silva cut his agency teeth on high-tech accounts including AMD, BayNetworks, National Semiconductor, Sybase and Symantec.
Mark is an active speaker at marketing events and is a member of the IAB Advergaming Committee.
Pat Hagerman cofounded Real Branding with Mark Silva, and is responsible for ongoing successful operations and profitable financial performance of the company. Pat brings over 20 years of engineering and digital advertising firm management and development experience.
In over 12 years of agency management experience Pat has played a key role in more than 300 engagements with CPG, Entertainment, Government and Media company interactive strategies including AOL, Corona, Flex Your Power, Scottish & Newcastle and Unilever. He has proven success at identifying and managing digital opportunities for companies at all stages of growth and maturity across multiple verticals. Prior to starting Real Branding, Pat founded one of the earliest commercial vertical content portals and social networks for beer lovers with Realbeer.com; the site continues to engage over 400,000 adults per month.
Pat’s passions include time with his growing family, flying small aircraft, camping and travel.
Sara Ramsey oversees Real Branding’s account management practice, leading the team responsible for building strategically sound programs for our current clients while providing each with superior client service. Sara is an integrated marketer at heart who has spent almost a decade focused on her passion for digital marketing. Her strong affinity for numbers brings about a desire to spend every dollar efficiently and effectively with a strong focus on metrics and results. Sara believes that thought leadership and flawless execution is the cornerstone of healthy client relationships. She has found success as a natural strategic thinker who is highly client focused and consultative in her approach.
Sara joined Real Branding in 2009 after having held leadership positions at Publicis Dialog & Modem, OgilvyOne and Wunderman, and most recently Sara was the Managing Director for T3’s San Francisco office. In addition to her agency experience, she has also held a role in the marketing department at Williams-Sonoma, Inc, where she managed marketing programs for their premium brands. Her experience spans multiple industries such as Technology, Consumer Package Goods, Food Services, Financial Services, and Hi-tech on such brands as Sprint, HP, Intel, Yahoo!, MSN, Nestle, Taco Bell, Wells Fargo, and Peet’s Coffee & Tea to name a few.
Milan has traversed the digital marketing circuit from New York to London and San Francisco and back-and-forth a couple of times in the last 14 years. Over the course of Milan’s distinguished career he’s held leadership positions at some of the world’s top shops and has lead global strategic engagements for brands including IBM, Gillette, AT&T and Virgin. After leaving Ogilvy & Mather as a Senior Partner in 2007, Milan became President of the GyroHSR NYC office where he established the agency as a player in the US market. In 2010, Milan joined the growing management team at Real Branding where he leads the Agency’s business development efforts. A ‘Madman 2.0’ of sorts, Milan infuses traditional brand strategy and account planning techniques with a deep understanding of how to leverage emerging tools available to marketers in the digital age.
Milan is a horrible cook, an even worse golfer but is pretty darn good at wine tasting. Milan lives with his wife Kerri, daughter Olivia and dog, The Dude, in San Francisco, CA.
Tom has traveled coast-to-coast as an award-winning creative director with a broad range of experience at global traditional and integrated agencies. His career stretches from the great packaged goods plains of Chicago (the first five years) with JWT to the avenues of NYC (the next eight years) with BBDO to the silicon goodness of San Francisco (the last nine years) with McCann, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Ogilvy. His globally recognized work has spanned a wide range of major brands, including Microsoft, HP, Yahoo!, HBO, FedEx, Frito-Lay, 7-11 and Quaker, Tom is prone to tough jobs and uphill battles, always tries to make hard things easier and believes in being one of the good guys. He is a little bit short, but seems very, very tall.
